Getting up early gives you a kick start for the day ahead. Besides allowing you more hours for your work, it also boosts your speed. Studies have suggested that when a person gets up early, he is more energetic and takes lesser time to do a task that would take more time otherwise. He is also more adept in taking better decisions, planning and achieving goals.

Mental fitness

One very significant benefit of waking up early is reduced stress level. When you rise early, it eliminates the need to rush in the morning. You can then start your day on an optimistic note and such positivity often stays with you throughout the day.



Better sleep quality

Early risers often go to bed early. Getting up early is not something that should be followed irregularly but it needs to be established as a routine in your life. This translates into better sleep quality as your body’s internal clock adapts to your new sleep routine.

Brighter world

Getting up early instils you with positivity. A research has suggested that people who got up early were happier, not just for a short duration but overall in life.

In our busy lives it always seems like we never have enough time to do the things that we want. Why don’t I have enough time? This is the universal question that has been answered but keeps being asked.

I’ve learned that the most successful people on this planet wake up early in the morning to take advantage of that time. We can mirror these amazing lifestyle habits so that we can benefit from it the most.

Is it really the fact that we don’t have time to create habits that will change out lives? No.

It seems like when it comes to making changes in your health or working on your dreams, we just don’t have time. The key is creating more free time for yourself in order to work on your goals and dreams.




Waking up earlier. First we must set up the habit to even begin to wake up earlier. How you do this is set an alarm for 30 minutes earlier each week. The reason you’d want to do this for a week is because your mind will start to create the habit of having you wake up earlier and it will start to be easier for you. Each week set the alarm 30 minutes earlier till you have at least an hour earlier from your usual wake up time.

Utilizing your free time for success. Once you’ve created the habit to wake up at least and hour or two earlier before your usual time, the magic happens in how that time is really spent. One agreement you must make with yourself is that this time that you’ve made is for your time. This means that you start to work on yourself in the areas of your life that make the most impact. You’ve created a window for yourself to become successful and making the most out of this time is crucial to becoming your greatest version.

Working on your passions. Becoming the greatest version of yourself means mastering your craft. Whatever it is that you love to do whether that be writing, singing, dancing, teaching, or art then let this time be the gateway for you to mastering what you love to do. Now this is when you must be honest with yourself and ask “What’s the outcome I’m looking for?” Once you determine the outcome you are looking for, then work on your passions and let your dreams become your reality. At least an hour of your time must be dedicated to your passion everyday to see true improvement in your craft.

Physical and Mental maintenance. To be able to become the greatest version of yourself, the other hour of the morning should be dedicated to physical and mental exercise. This can be done with 30 minutes of goal and intent setting and the other 30 minutes doing physical exercise like walking or yoga. By setting your goals and intents you are preventing losing time in the day and prioritising what needs to be done first (mental). By exercising you are waking up your body and allowing your body and mind to be fully active and engaged.

Take this time to become the greatest version of yourself and realise that you create your free time. When you maximise your mornings, you improve and allow yourself room for growth.

  1. These are great tips to follow. I like to get up early. I notice a difference when I do not wake up early. I am more tired during the day and I do not get as much done.
