Practicing positive thought patterns (affirmations) repetitively, creates neuroplasticity in the area of the brain that processes what we are thinking about.  We need to be repetitive so that we flood our brains with the positive thought.

When we practice affirmations, we need to focus on one or two affirmations for several weeks, saying the affirmation out loud in a confident voice several times a day.

To add more power to the affirmation, write it down and say it.  Make sure they are said in the present tense.  As though they are your current reality.

    I found that being negative just brings more negative things in my life.
    This list is just awesome and I’m going to print it out and use it.
    Being happy and grateful for what you have is important. But to have great self esteem and confidence would make a huge difference in my life.
